Apps Assisting Patients Awaiting Joint Surgery During the Pandemic

The coronavirus has meant that millions of people have been left on a waiting list for elective surgery.

In England, the NHS delayed more than two million planned operations to free up hospital beds for potential Covid-19 patients.

Doctors around the country are now looking towards apps such as ‘My Recovery’ and ‘C2-AI’ to take months off the waiting lists, and to get patients in and out of hospital faster.

These apps can monitor patients in new and detailed ways from the comfort of their own home. The C2-AI app is also capable of arithmetically organising patients in order of priority.
